Haapsalu Scarf
The Haapsalu Scarf is a delicate hand-knitted lace shawl originating from Haapsalu, Estonia, in the early 19th century. Known for its fine craftsmanship, it became a sought-after gift among aristocrats, including the Romanov family. The scarf is renowned for its intricate design, so fine that it can pass through a lady's wedding ring. Made by skilled artisans in Haapsalu, each scarf takes two weeks to create. In 1992, a special pattern was created for Queen Silvia of Sweden during her visit to Haapsalu. The Haapsalu Scarf remains a timeless heirloom, rich in history and tradition.
