This up-cycled winter collection is a partnership between Sacer and the UNHCR- the UN Refugee Agency. The idea behind this partnership is multifaceted with the ultimate goal of creating empathy and understanding towards the challenges a refugee has to face starting from the unstable conditions in their countries, to the treacherous journey seeking a more secure life, all the way to starting a new life and integrating with an 'alien' culture. This partnership would also provide concrete livelihood opportunities.

About the Brand+
Scarabaeus Sacer, established in 2018, is a homegrown Egyptian advocacy apparel brand and sourcing company that specializes in sustainable, ethical, premium quality clothing and home textiles. Some of our collections are crafted from 100% GOTS certified Organic Egyptian cotton and are both exceptionally soft & light to the touch, with vibrant colors and graphics, a relaxed fit and creative designs. We also create up-cycled collections made out of pre-consumer waste. The brand’s main reason for existence is not just to provide a fashionable, affordable, high quality product that is also eco-friendly, but also to raise awareness about important issues we tend to be too scared to talk about. We advocate for marginalized groups with a focus on raising awareness for the importance of their mental health. We want to start a conversation, and as we always say about our brand....its fashion for healing!
